A Cardinal for Kono by Legrandzilla A Cardinal for Kono by Legrandzilla
One of the first times I skyped with :iconkonothecuddly: she heard a cardinal and wanted to know about this bird. I have been hoping to take a picture of one since then for her, they are very shy so finally I got this shot. I like to play a game I call "Find the Cardinal" whenever I hear them sing. They like to get high up on the top of a tree or building when they sing, so that is the place you will want to look when you hear them. I really like the song they make.
Kono, I miss you, and I hope things get better for you. I hope you will see this soon, and I hope it brightens your day and reminds you that I care about you... :tighthug:

But hummingbirds are pretty birds as well. I was close enough to touch one once when I was getting seeds from one of the flower pots it was flying by. Had to freeze still or I would have ended up scaring it but I got to watch it for five minutes before it had flown away :)

When I went to Colorado there were lots of hummingbirds, I love the ruby throated kind that are green and red!

Same here. They are also fun to watch fly around a humming bird feeder
