Description

This is a colored pencil drawing for my dear friend :iconexiiinka:.
I must admit I am very fond of Alexi, she is from Czech Republic and is one of the nicest, sweetest people you could ever hope to meet. We agreed to do a Christmas AT exchange, and so I did this picture of her and her dragoness OC, Alexia. She also asked me to try to write her a story about Alexia someday, so I will include it here. I am really not much of a writer, but I do like to write to express my feelings. So I am attempting to write a story to go along with the picture. I wonder how others will view this story. Maybe it is because I like Alexi so much, but when I read it, it makes me feel like I want to cry. I guess that shows what a silly, oversensitive guy I am...
I wish I could make a better story and picture for Alexi, because she is awesome! But I hope you like it, Alexi, I wish you a happy Christmas and New Year, and may all your dreams come true! :tighthug:

Alexi and Alexia Moonshine
Alexi is an excellent artist. She especially likes to draw mythical creatures such as dragons. Her favorite dragon was one she created herself. She called her Alexia Moonshine, a dragoness of the night and the moon. Alexi liked to think of Alexia as the dragon form of herself.
One day, Alexi was upset about something that happened at school. Some boys were very rude to her in class. Usually she dismissed this kind of behavior and did not let it bother her, but today, she just felt tired and down, so she went to her room and collapsed on the bed.
She felt cold, so she reached to pull up her blanket, but it was not there. It was dark, and a bit damp. She saw she was outside, lying on grass in the dark. The full moon was beginning to rise, however, and it began to reflect its light upon the landscape. She saw she was on a plain, with foothills and mountains behind it. And then she saw flying against the moon, a large winged creature. It was coming her way!
By now, Alexi could hear the powerful wing beats of the dragon like creature. It soared above her and circled like a vulture, spiraling slowly down until it lit majestically near her. Shocked as she was to see such an imposing creature, Alexi’s eyes widened in recognition.
“It’s Alexia!” she exclaimed. “Just as I imagined her!”
The dragoness regarded Alexia thoughtfully, pacing around her to see all sides of the girl. The Dragon seemed satisfied with her assessment and to Alexi’s surprise, spoke.
“You are Alexi. Just as I imagined you.”
“I have drawn many pictures of you at home, “said Alexi.
“And I have carved images of you near my cave in the mountains yonder,” responded Alexia.
Both looked at each other in amazement.
“How is this happening” asked Alexia, “and why?”
Alexia stretched her long, graceful neck up and gazed at the huge, beautiful moon. A tear formed and fell from her soft eyes.
“I do not know,” Alexia answered softly, “but it is a dream come true for me.”
The dragoness brought her face close to Alexi’s and nuzzled her. She put her great, taloned forepaw gently on Alexi’s shoulder, and embraced her. Alexi felt a comforting warmth envelope her.
“You are my heart, Alexi.” Spoke the dragon, “you are the part of me that makes me love, and show kindness to others. You are the part of me that yearns when I gaze at the moon and night sky. You make me able to enjoy nature and my fellow creatures, and to be thankful for it all. I love you, my sister.”
Alexi understood now. “You are my spirit, Alexia. You help me to be brave, and to face challenges. You enable me to stand up for others who are being bullied, and to fiercely defend them. You make me into someone who will never give up. I love you too, my sister.”
The moon glowed bright and magnificent now, and the moonlight entered the crystal that hung from Alexia’s horn, illuminating the feather that also hung there so that they glowed brightly.
Alexi’s body also glowed, as though she was in the sunlight and not the moonlight. But the dragon’s body glowed in reflection of the moonlight. They could see that they needed each other, they complemented each other. They brought balance and wholeness to each other, just as surely as the moon needs the sun to be able to give its light. And they also knew, in that moment, that they would always have each other. They would never be alone.
Alexi felt such joy; she closed her eyes and wept happy tears. But when she opened her eyes again, the face she held close to hers was only her pillow. The warmth she felt from the dragons embrace was only her blanket. Yet she knew Alexia was still with her, and she was with Alexia too, forever.
