Farewell Kono

This was Kono's  ID photo.  I was going to do her portrait as a Gengar gijinka.  I did a chibi hyena gijinka for her   I am glad she got to see it..
This will be the last of the Kono series, I am glad I posted these so I could still have them here on DA and it helped me process the loss of her by doing it too.
See the necklace?  That is Thor's hammer, her dad gave it to her before he died.  She was proud of her Viking heritage.  She actually wanted to give it to me!  When she said that, it really touched my heart, but of course I told her she should keep it to remember her dad by...but in her last email to me, she told me she sent it in the mail to me...it never arrived, so perhaps it was lost...  I could never understand why she would want to give it to me...I worry that she was trying to tell me she was dying..
I hope she is alright...I will always have fond memories of you, Kono-the-Cuddly..thank you for your kindness and your smile, and for making me feel loved and appreciated...I hope to see you again someday...
