Description

Here is a my Dratini using a special combo of attract, captivate and hypnosis on a Dragonair. A Horsea and Seadra are looking on, maybe they will get caught too! They will all happily snuggle up with Dratini and get in my pokeball. They just cant resist her cuteness..
So this is my water dragon picture, although Horsea and Seadra are not considered dragon until they become Kingdra. But I dont like Kingdra so much.
But I had to do a Dragonair because :iconbrecreep: suggested it in my poll, and she has a lot of influence on me..^^
Maybe I will do a Dragonite vs Salmander next, or do something non pokemon...

*Legrandzilla knows what he's doing while drawing pictures. That's what I thought when I first saw this work.

I'll make my critique quite short because writing in english is very difficult for me...

First of all, you did a great decision with your motif:
Dratini's spelling a carmeattack on Dragonair. She seems to be a little confused about that but there's some kind of affection in her eyes. From behind there are 2 other Pokémon which watch the scenery: Horsea and Seadra. It's pretty interesting to see 2 evolutions on one picture. The Dratini -> Dragonair evolution and the Horsea -> Seadra evolution. That fits very good to each other!

Additional to that I like the way you drew the charme attack by Dratini. Chibilike eyes and confusion waves with hearts. That's a good way to show the attack itself. But of course this attack was only an interpretation by me. Dratini could be only adorable as well...

Now to the construction... It's pretty well chosen and I think that there's no way to dispute it. The frame is well done and I can't think of a better way!

The colours of this picture also fit to the theme of the aquatic realm. You chose mostly quite cold green and bluetones for your motif and added some light-warm purple and redtones for the highlights.

And now there's just the technique left... It's *Legrandzilla-marvelous! In the background the viewer can see the texture of the paper... This underlines the underwater-feeling and a beautiful look of the water, where these Pokémon live. In the foreground this texture blurs into the motif and it seems not to be there anymore. This underlines the form of the figures. Additional to that, the figures become more dynamic... The sea plants seem to move with the current, the bubbles seem to rise up and the rock looks quite realistic!

I hope that my points are comprehensible... I'm in love with this picture! Thanks for sharing it with us! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/h/h…" width="15" height="13" alt="" title="Heart"/>
