This is me trying to do a portrait with chalk pastels! How did I do? It is a late birthday present for the lovely and talented :iconsaurro:. This is supposed to be a portrait of her with some characteristics of her OC Dragon, Saurro.
See?
I hope you like it Veronica, I think your photo is much prettier of course! Veronica asked me to make her the color of her dragon, but I thought it would be too much with bright colors, so I kept them lighter, and kept her face a little more human looking.
I am planning to do more portraits like this, if you would like one, note me.

Wow this piece of work is wonderful in so many ways, I mean technically it is fantastic, you have captured the detail so realistically and brilliantly. The idea is also unique.

I think my favourite part about his work is the colours, because they are so bright and beautiful, I also love the rich red hair and eyes which you have given her they look great and so captivating. The jacket has also been drawn amazingly realistically, I am amazed at how well you have managed to capture the shadows formed by light on the piece.

You should definitely create more works of art like this one because it just looks absolutely amazing. In terms of improvement I have nothing to suggests.

All I can say is wow, and very well done!

You've been doing some pretty beautiful portraits lately! Such nice soft colours, and a great blend of human and dragon.

And ugh, pastels! UGH!!! They make me sneeze!

I am just finished one up now, where I used watercolor, chalk pastels and wax colored pencils together.
I may be doing one for Danielle Ate the Sandwich on youtube.

Watercolour is great for a base colour on things to ink/pencil over, though I can't manage it by itself. My tendency to overblend turns the whole paper into mud x.x

Haven't heard of Danielle Ate the Sandwich, guess I'll have to go check that out.
